This winter we've drained a 1km stretch of the 200-year-old Regent’s Canal so that we can carry out vital repair works to the canal walls.
The great news for you is that we're giving you a rare opportunity to come and walk along the bed of the canal.
Come and venture into the bottom of the drained waterway and enjoy a close-up look at some of the finest examples of working industrial heritage in the world.
We've drained around 7.5 million gallons of water between Johnson Lock and Limehouse Basin to allow specialist brick-layers to repair large gaps which have developed in the canal wall. The repairs will cost about quarter of a million pounds and we expect to be finished the week before Christmas.
